2001 Mercury Grand Marquis

Post by AdamYip » Wed Jul 10, 2019 4:04 am

I've always admired these huge American cars when I was a kid. My dad has rented a white 1992 Mercury Grand Marquis (he wanted a Lincoln Towncar but its not available) in New York many years ago. The thing was so huge that it couldn't cross the Brooklyn bridge together with a car next to it. I found this one online and ordered it. A nice partswork model car.

That looks really well done except for the snow tires.

I like that, an unusual car to model but I would like to have one. What is the partwork called please? I'm guessing that as you also have a Tempo that it's Ford based? It would be nice to add them to my American car section.

I guess its American cars in Mexico or South America. It didn't came with a case when I got it. It was wrapped with toilet paper and paper box when I received it.

Thanks Adam, I found the Tempo but not the Mercury. There have been some older cars in that series, I recall a 1966 Galaxie sedan so I bought it as I used to own one some years ago. Also bought a 1966 Cadillac Coupe De Ville and a 1966/7 Rambler sedan. I noticed that there is a 1962 Chevy II 400 sedan so I bought it, there is a 1962 Falcon sedan as well. You'll notice that I really like the older stuff!
