Back to the Future Delorean by Minichamps

Post by AdamYip » Wed Apr 18, 2018 6:00 am

I'm sure many of you have seen this movie and loved the Delorean in your childhood. I've missed buying this model car many years ago and was lucky to find it again recently. A nicely detailed model car made by Minichamps.

Loved the movies..but my Deloreans (AUTOart 1/18 and MC 1/43) are both the clean road versions.
Alot of detail in this one though.

Full credit to Minichamps for producing such a detailed model. It's not what you usually see from them.

I have the street regular version of the Delorean by Minichamps and it is a fantastic model. This from 'Back to the future' has the same excellent quality as I can see, but the most important in this model is the nostalgic component. Nice add Adam.

I've got the regular Delorean made by Minichamps also many years ago. At that time, Vitesse has released the Deloreans of Back to the Future Part 1, 2, 3 and I thought that the stainless steel finish on the Vitesse version looks more realistic, so I got the Vitesse ones at the time and didn't go for the Minichamps Back to the Future Delorean. But the Minichamps version seems to capture the shape of the real car better and had more details.

Adam

I have that model, but I left mine in the special display box.

Nice model indeed! I also got the road version when it was released along with this (paying premium $$ at that time..).

My other 2 movie cars (Part 2 and 3) are Japanese Skynet, I think they are better detailed than MC (although it was too expensive to get the Part 1 from Japan.. I also miss the rail version from part 3).

I've got the Skynet Part 1, Part 2 (with folded flying wheels) and Part 3 rail version too. But I'd preferred this brushed stainless steel finish on the Minichamps and Vitesse version. The Skynet ones are just painted in silver.
