Looks like all of Martin’s recent Gamma acquisitions are rubbing off. The Alfa looks great with its simple flowing lines.

Still something not quite right about it, perhaps it lacks crisp lines of the fins on the 1:1. It's a good effort but I'd really like to see them do a nice Zodiac III.

It almost looks like it has a bit of an Italian influence to it, did it?

Yes, an Italian did have a hand in it’s design. The Ford Freaks will have to identify him as I don’t know

The Zephyr was actually designed by a Canadian called Roy Brown who had also designed the Edsel and the Cortina, but the rear of the body was said to have been "inspired" by a design proposal by Frua .

They were having grappa while at work, that's the Italian connection.Galaxy Gaz wrote: ↑Sat Feb 16, 2019 10:27 amThe Zephyr was actually designed by a Canadian called Roy Brown who had also designed the Edsel and the Cortina, but the rear of the body was said to have been "inspired" by a design proposal by Frua .

My grandad had a Zephyr 6 in grey. I really like the Zephyr Vanguards.

My father in law had one in Zambia. My first wife chose the colour..........Caribbean Turquoise. In the sunlight you could see it from miles away. The leopard seat covers were a classy touch

Sounds like you should send the pictures to Vanguards R & D department

Very, very nice David.
Is this a fantasy colour though? Your model sent me off to Google and the only one I can find is maroon?
