I quite like it, though the front end reminds me of a Japanese car more than a Maser.

This is the first thing that came to mind:

You know why Italians speak with their hands? Because they have to work a lot on their engines.

I don't even know what that is, but I do like the Mazda Cosmo.

I do like that car David. The headlights are a bit strange but the rest of it is sweet.

I remember watching Ultraman way, way back.

MG MGB Jaques Coune 1964 - autocult

Coune's conversion of a rosdster before BL released their GT. IMO the BL effort was much cleaner and sharper.

No doubt helped by the fact that BL didn't have to make do with glass sourced from other cars... I've come across one single example of these very rare cars on the streets here in the 1980s but alas, my pictures are MIA.
It's perhaps odd, but I like the Coune. Great add to your collection.

I have only seen a picture of this car once before and my first impression was a MG wearing an Italian hat. Now I see I was off by a number of miles. But it a very nice model and a great conversation piece.

To me it's more like a MG DB5.

Have to agree with you there David, the BL BGT, with help from Pininfarina of course, is a more together looking design.

Not a car I've seen before. It should look good lined up alongside the GT.

It grows on me the more I look at it. The MG was such a clean design that to play around with it is weird - maybe its the GTO thing as Gary says.

Twice in the last few weeks at two car shows I have seen a pair of these Coune conversions in 1:1. Interesting take on the B and until this year not something I'd seen in the metal.
