Nissan Skyline GT-R 1993 JTC Season - HPI 8611 vs HPI 8612

HPI 8611 Nissan Skyline 1993 JTC Autopolis Winner K. Takahashi/K. Tsuchiya
vs
HPI 8612 Nissan Skyline 1993 JTC Suzuka 2nd Place K. Takahashi/K. Tsuchiya

HPI released a few variants of models where the different cars were from different races of a particular season. In this case we have 8611 on the left and 8612 on the right. There really aren't many differences so I'm not sure why HPI went to the trouble to release both (other than to parts fools and their money).

From the front are three differences:
- the lack of the NISSAN logo on 8612
- the lack of an aerial on 8611
- different shapes of the headlamp 'buckets'

From the side view there is only one difference - the color of the PIAA logo on the front fender.

From the rear there is, again, only one difference - 8611 has a NISSAN logo on the registration plate area and 8612 has what looks like 'K7'.

It's easy to miss Scotto. They look identical at a quick glance.
