Matchbox 1/43 Goodyear Truck
I saw this on a French forum. Has anyone come across one of these before:

No, I've never seen that before. 1:43 plastic kits are thin on the ground anyway, to my knowledge only Heller made a few.

That would be cool, could see adding Shelby decals to it to replicate the trucks that were at major races in the West in the 70's & 80's.

I have a spare trailer I could use, just need to find the right tractor.

Looks like Matchbox also did the tractor units separately Jerry.

British roads have history. Some were built by the Romans. British road investment being what it is, they have only been re-surfaced a few times since.

I bought an IXO Kenworth tractor that is the right vintage. Trailers I have, so its a matter of making decals and painting the rig at some point. Maybe this year?

Re: Matchbox 1/43 Goodyear Truck
I have the tractor/trailer kit, bought it new (I think) many years ago. It sits in a spare bedroom waiting for the day that I will build it although sadly I think that day will never come. Mind you I'm nowhere near as talented as some of you on here and arthritis in my hands and wrists doesn't help. That and the fact that I'm hopeless at building stuff
. Perhaps I should get someone to build it for me so I can add it to my small collection of 1/43 race support vehicles.

Those Aerodyne Cabovers were cool. I had a friend who owned one. He was an independent trucker and during the truckers strike I rode shotgun (literally, a double-barrel Winchester 12ga was in my lap). It was a scary time and we were young and stupid.
