Re: Dcast's 1/64 collection
Yes, I agree that Auto World did a great job on the early 4th Gen Firebird and pleased to have all 3 colors of it in my collection. Love the comparison shots but not really the same year. I need to compare the Welly version against the Auto World version but I have to find the Welly version first. It is buried at the moment. Here is a pic of the Welly casting of the same car.

Thanks for the comment
That Welly Firebird looks nice and indeed the same year as the AutoWorld model. Anyway, glad to see this car seems to be popular subject for 64 scale modelmakers, hope to see nice 1/43 of it as well

Re: Dcast's 1/64 collection
I was watching Mythbusters episode about spy car myths and they had a getaway scene where Jamie was escaping using blue Mazda MX-5 and Adam & the policeman in met. green Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am was chasing it.
I love watching Mythbusters and especially that they demostrate sometimes the myths using scale models
+ I happen to have these two cars in same colour so I just had to take some Mythbusters inspired photos using the scenes in my laptop screen as a background. Sorry about my laptop screen being so dusty

Cool comparison shots! You know that you could have posted this in play time thread. It was meant for everyone to post in. As for a dusty laptop, I am sure you are not the only one.....lol By the way, the Firebird they were using had same time period Camaro rims on the car instead the Pontiac Firebird rims.

Like the shots and Mythbusters a lot, I've been watching that episode a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks, love the series. Too bad they fired the build team last year, Kari, Gran and Tory and just recently read that they'll cancel the whole series next yearTom wrote:Like the shots and Mythbusters a lot, I've been watching that episode a couple of weeks ago.

Anyway, here's an addition to my 1/64 collection, another Honda Civic '90 by Hotwheels

Edit: This liveried Civic is sold in December 15 2017.

Nice comparisons with the mytbusters cars. The Civic looks like a cool addition, how many civics do you have?

It is so affordable and take very little space... so there are no reasons why not... or are we just hoarders?JSB33 wrote:Funny how so many of us have 1/64 in our collections.

Great to have both versions. Now all that is missing is a standard "street" de Lorean?

Looks good in yellow and not a whole alot of cars look good in yellow and also there is a window variation on the BTTF car. I found some with blue and clear windows.

Today's addition, another 3rd gen Camaro, a Z28 from 1984 and this time made by Auto World. This is the most detailed one from my 1/64 Camaros
