Re: Some of my 1:64 collection
Honestly I don't know why I even buy them. I get them home, take pictures and then pack them away in a box. I won't see them again until I need to repack said box to make more room. Wash, rinse, repeat.

As long as they go in your box and not mine... Think my box must be ready to come over the pond now is it?

Sounds like what they call 'grazing', Jeff. People who drive long distances tend to stop for snacks to alleviate the boredom.
I sometimes go into toy stores and look at the HW bin, but I only buy them very occasionally to give to my niece (who enjoys playing with the HW race track her uncle gave her).
I like those small cars, but they are too unrealistic to excite me like a good 1:43 does. I know I wouldn't ever display them, so I might as well save my money to spend it on other stuff... I'll enjoy them through your pics.

Consider yourself lucky, I got to that point once with 1:18s...

Re: Some of my 1:64 collection
We can do that
I have to go into stores to get food for the week while on the road. the easiest one to go into many times is Walmart. And sometimes i will mosey over to the toy aisle and before you know it I have more of these things in my cart. It really is wasting money/time/space.Tom wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2017 3:08 pmSounds like what they call 'grazing', Jeff. People who drive long distances tend to stop for snacks to alleviate the boredom.

Seeing that white Focus RS which I also have by the way reminds me that one of my greatest and most prized Hot wheels in my collection is the Green Focus RS you got me a few years ago Jeff, it will NEVER leave my ownership EVER!!

I cant understand why you buy these "toys" either.......all the money wasted on this stuff could have been put into several really nice 1/43s that you would appreciate much more .
Practice what you preach and stop buying this junk just because its cheap

Re: Some of my 1:64 collection
I have the yellow one hanging on my workbench but I think the green is a nicer color for it.
The Focus is nice, of course your green one is nicer. Glad you still like it so much.
When I arrive in a new city for the week, I go and pick up some groceries off of my expense account/ Can I help it if a few non food items fall into the cart? No, I cannot.Galaxy Gaz wrote: ↑Sun Oct 22, 2017 6:31 pmI cant understand why you buy these "toys" either.......all the money wasted on this stuff could have been put into several really nice 1/43s that you would appreciate much more .

And while they may be cheap, I would not cal them junk. Just think of the big collection my Great Nephew will get when I get tired of having the box around

Re: Some of my 1:64 collection
Busy week, I had a hellacious job where I was staring at a spreadsheet for the entire week. I kept going out to clear my head and ended up with a bunch of Hot Wheels.

Really like those Modern classics range

I'm not addicted to models, an addict admits their problems & I don't have a problem.

Re: Some of my 1:64 collection
I had no say in the manner, as soon as I saw it, it was coming with me.
They did some nice ones, not sure why the price was almost 3 times higher than a normal one though.
I wish I knew, they had multiples of both of the complete sets of these. Not sure if I would be that way again for a while but you never know.
I actually thought of you when I saw it.
They were both my first picks.

Not a fan of 1/64 here but your last adds are really nice, especially the Alfa, 190E, and the Renault.

More grocery store finds. Its still amazing what you can get for 94 cents. They cost me that much 49 years ago.

Re: Some of my 1:64 collection
Nice ones, Volvo and VW are most interesting to me. I just wish I too could get these for 94 cents (about 0,79 €). I have to pay usually 1,50 - 2,50 Euros for these. Would you buy these if they costed that much for you?

An odd find in the grocery store. Putin was not kidding about his missiles.
