Mercedes SL73 AMG (R129) fitted with panoramic roof

I've just received this SL73 AMG today by post. I've fitted a soft top and headlight wipers to it. A nice model car made by Spark.

How did you manage to put a soft top here? Is it from another model?

To be honest I prefer the R129 open (or with hardtop). This car has gorgeous looks, but the soft top is spoiling it a bit.. (although the reality is like that).

The roof is from another model. I sure wished that Spark can provide the panoramic glass roof to fit onto the car. I wasn't able to source a hardtop for this SL.

I'm of the same mindset. This is a car (in 1:1) that is really let down by the soft top yet looks sleek and purposeful with the hardtop in place

Oooh the panoramic! Forgot about that one, I think there was a Schabak model with the glass roof decades ago:

I've just fitted a glass roof to the SL73 AMG. Still need to fine tune it a bit to fit better to the A pillar.

You're on the right track Adam...these always look so streamlined without that soft top!
