Another Berliet Stradale from IXO for the transporter tragics :

I was very tempted to buy this one during black Friday.

I would have plans for it... Maybe I will turn it into a F1 transporter for the Ligier JS5:

When Ligier bought Matra's spoil, the Berliet Stradair came together and a similar one was used as a transporter for the team in 1976.

I would be patient Bruno....I would think its almost certain IXO will eventually release the Ligier version as well.

Just caught up with this Ian. I am certainly a Marta fan no question so I suspect this will end up in my collection soon. Seems to vary a great deal in price mind. I think I will wait for Paris Retro trip in Feb next year and see if I can find one in a French model shop.

I'm sure Marta* Stewart used a Cayenne .

That didn't go to La Sarthe, right? Awesome, I'm safe! Image

Why do you torture yourself Luc. You should know by now, if any major team had a transporter, it was usually at Le Mans :

The Berliet Stradair, in typical French fashion, is so ugly that it's cool. It would look amazing in a LM dio, luckily the Matras are outside my collection subject (if there is such a thing).

Opppps.....................MATRA, less haste more speed  Cheers Luc.

Thanks for the LM pic Ian, just need the white Leyland (I think) transporter and I can feel a dio coming on.

I could see making space for one of these.

What is it with the French and ugly cars? Is it because their women look good?

The Berliet is très cool, I could see myself getting one as well if they did a F1 version of the '76 Ligier team. They bought Matra's assets and this Truck came together and it was used by them in the European races in early '76.
